Drimnagh residents protest Dickensian housing conditions

Residents from Lissadell Maisonettes had held a protest about their housing conditions.

They will bring this protest to Monday’s City Council meeting.

Cllr. Daithí Doolan said:

“The conditions these families are living in are appalling. They are Dickensian. No-one should be forced to live in overcrowded, damp conditions with poor ventilation.

“We are demanding that Dublin City Council meet with residents and agree a plan to upgrade these homes as a matter of urgency.

“We will not be ignored. We will be bringing our protest for better housing to Monday’s full City Council meeting.”

Note to editors: Protest Monday Nov 4th 5.30pm at City Hall.
