Delargy welcomes new jobs for Derry

Sinn Féin MLA Pádraig Delargy has welcomed the announcement that software firm AVEVA will open a new hub in Derry and create 23 jobs.

The Foyle MLA said:

“It’s fantastic news that software firm AVEVA will open a new £1.4 million research and development centre in Derry, creating 23 new jobs.

“The decision by AVEVA to double the amount of jobs here in Derry demonstrates their confidence in the north’s flourishing economy and the strength of our workers’ skillset.

“This investment helps to continue with Economy Minister Conor Murphy’s commitment to promoting regional balance and building a fairer economy for all.

“Sinn Féin will continue working to seize on the huge opportunities which lie ahead to attract investment and create better jobs.”
