Delargy meets with Student Union President to discuss vision for students

Sinn Féin spokesperson for Higher and Further Education Pádraig Delargy today met with the President of NUS-USI Chloe Ferguson to discuss the Cost of Living issues impacting students.

The Foyle MLA said:

“Today I met with the President of NUS-USI to discuss the issues impacting students and Sinn Féin’s priorities for students.

“We discussed the impact of higher rents, higher energy costs and increased food costs which has clearly impacted students ability to study and their mental health.

“Sinn Féin is committed to supporting students so they can focus on their studies instead of having to deal with undue financial stress.

“I look forward to using this mandate to speak up for all students whether they are in University, Further Education or completing an Apprenticeship or Traineeship.”
