Delargy expresses concern at the treatment of protesters at QUB campus

Sinn Féin MLA Pádraig Delargy has expressed concern at the treatment of protestors at Queens University Belfast on Thursday evening.

The party’s further and higher education spokesperson said:

“The images at Queen’s University Belfast yesterday were extremely disturbing and need to be fully and properly examined.

“Those protesting were doing so to highlight genocide, apartheid and illegal occupation in Gaza. The right to peaceful protest must be protected.

“I will be asking our members of the policing board to raise this with the PSNI to ensure there is full scrutiny and accountability.”
