Community stunned following tragic road accident – Hazzard

Sinn Féin MP Chris Hazzard  said the death of a young man following a serious road traffic accident on Rathfriland Road, Newry has  ‘stunned the entire community’.

The South Down MP said:

“I wish to extend my deepest sympathy to the family and friends of the young man Mark Murphy who sadly lost his life this afternoon.

“This has stunned the entire community, but everyone will rally around his family and friends in what will be difficult days ahead. Huge sympathy also to the others involved in the accident.

“I wish to pay tribute to the emergency services for all their efforts at the scene.”
