Childcare must meet the needs of families and providers – Mason

Sinn Féin MLA Cathy Mason has said the education minister must work to deliver a childcare scheme that meets the needs of families and providers.

Speaking following the latest National Audit Office (NAO) report on childcare in England, the party’s childcare and early years spokesperson said:

“We must learn from the flaws of childcare in England when developing our own affordable scheme.

“The education minister should work to deliver a childcare scheme that provides good quality, affordable and sustainable childcare for families and providers.

“Sinn Féin are committed to working with all parties to deliver high quality, affordable childcare.”
