British Government must do more to cut rising fuel costs – Archibald

Sinn Féin MLA Caoimhe Archibald has said the British Government must do more to cut rising fuel costs.

Speaking after the RAC urged retailers to cut prices at the pump, the East Derry MLA said:

“The British Government should immediately cut the price of fuel as prices continue to cripple people.

“While workers and families struggle to fill their car to go to work and to leave their kids to school, energy giants continue to make eye-watering profits from rip-off prices.

“The RAC has been clear on the need for fuel retailers to reduce prices at the pump to help drivers who are struggling.

“I will again write to the British Chancellor telling him to act now to end the fuel price rip-off and cut fuel costs for families.”
