Brady welcomes £10 million seizure of Cocaine

Sinn Féin MP Mickey Brady has welcomed the seizure of £10 million worth of cocaine this week in Jonesboro.

The Newry and Armagh MP said:

“I welcome the work done by a neighbourhood policing team in taking such a large quantity of drugs off our streets.

“The fact that these drugs will now not find their way into the criminal supply chain is good news.

“Drugs and the associated criminality destroy our communities and have blighted many lives.

“The investigation into this seizure is still at an early stage and I am hopeful that the PSNI and Garda Síochána will ensure those behind this activity are brought before the courts.

“I would encourage anyone with information on the supply of illegal drugs to bring it forward to the PSNI.”
