Boylan welcomes additional funding for roads

Sinn Féin MLA Cathal Boylan has welcomed an additional £19 million worth of funding to be invested into public services by Infrastructure Minister John O’Dowd.

The party’s transport spokesperson said:

“I welcome an additional £19 million which will be invested into our roads and street lights by Infrastructure Minister John O’Dowd.

“This will help to ensure our roads are well maintained, properly lit and safe to travel on.

“It’s also positive news that the minister has fully funded the winter service to ensure the road network is gritted and kept in the best possible conditions during the colder months.

“Sinn Féin is committed to strengthening public services and we will continue to press for fairer funding from the British government.”
