Ard Fheis will set out Sinn Féin’s plans to make housing affordable, deliver affordable childcare and tackle the cost of living – Pearse Doherty TD

Sinn Féin spokesperson on Finance, Pearse Doherty TD, has said that this weekend’s Ard Fheis in Athlone will set out the party’s plans to make housing affordable, deliver affordable childcare and tackle the cost of living.

Speaking as Sinn Féin published the clár ahead of the Ard Fheis being held in the Technological University of Shannon Campus tomorrow and Saturday, Teachta Doherty said:

“Sinn Féin is going into this Ard Fheis ready to fight the general election.

“We will set out our big ideas on how we will make housing affordable, how we will deliver affordable childcare and our plans to tackle the cost of living.

“Over the course of this weekend, we will be discussing how we support workers, families and communities, North and South, as well as our plans to prepare for Irish Unity.

“We are on the countdown to the general election and we will set out the type of change that a Sinn Féin government would deliver if the people give us that opportunity.

“Sinn Féin would deliver a government that finally puts ordinary people first. That is needed now more than ever before.

“This election will be a clear choice between positive leadership, real change, progress and hope from Sinn Féin or continued failure, spin and more of the same from Fianna Fáil and Fine Gael.

“This will also be our first Ard Fheis since Michelle O’Neill became the first nationalist First Minister in the North. This shows that real change is possible, and that we are living through it.

“There will therefore be a big focus on the work that is being done by Sinn Féin ministers in the Executive to deliver for all communities because we are a party determined to build a better future for all, North and South. An Ireland where nobody is left behind and everybody has the chance to succeed and fulfil their ambitions.”
