Philip McGuigan is the Sinn Féin spokesperson on the Environment and Climate action. He is the vice chair of the Assembly’s Agriculture, Environment & Rural Affairs committee and also sits on the Assembly’s Finance Committee.
Philip is a GAA enthusiast and is a member of his local Dunloy GAA club. He has 2 All Ireland Hogan Cup medals and various Ulster medals from his playing days with St. Pat’s Maghera as well as a County minor title with Swatragh.
He is also a keen cyclist and runner and is a member of Dunloy Cycling club.
He was first elected to Ballymoney Council in 2001 and the Assembly in 2003. He was also elected to Causeway Coast & Glens Council before re-entering the Assembly in 2016.
