Sinéad Ennis is a young, dynamic and effective MLA. She is widely recognised as a strong voice for South Down.
As the Sinn Féin spokesperson for Culture, Arts & Sport she has been to the fore in driving forward the Casement Park project, and has assisted many of our local sports clubs deliver modern facilities throughout South Down.
A fierce advocate for local health services, Sinéad has repeatedly raised the need to protect and enhance services at Daisy Hill and local access to care in the community.
In recognising that South Down needs much more affordable and public housing, Sinéad has worked proactively with Housing Minister Deirdre Hargey in recent years to help transform our local housing system.
Sinéad has also been a steadfast champion for the Narrow Water Bridge and has successfully lobbied political leaders in Stormont and Dublin towards investing in this unique infrastructure project.
Away from political life, Sinéad enjoys spending time with her young family in Derrylekagh and as a playing member for Burren GAC, she is proud to have represented her county at senior football.
