This is the first part of our comprehensive housing plan which we will be launching in September.

The big difference between Sinn Féin’s Affordable Homes Plan and Fianna Fáil/Fine Gael’s approach is the scale of our ambition and the price that we will deliver affordable homes to buy and rent.

Back-to-school costs are far too high and many families are under real financial pressure trying to cover the price of uniforms, digital devices, books, voluntary contributions. Families are already struggling with the cost-of-living crisis and need a break from these spiralling costs.

Activity Card for Sport and Culture

Sinn Féin’s Activity Card will support children’s participation in sport & culture, address inequality of access, and ease the burden for families struggling with the cost of living.

The fully costed €127 million proposal would see every child between the ages of 4 and 18 receive a card worth €130 which they could spend on extracurricular sports or arts activities.

Our policy acknowledges the real benefits of investing in sports and cultural participation from a young age, in terms of community development, social cohesion and educational results, as well as health and wellbeing.
